The history of Utkal University ‘Vanivihar 1986 Alumni Association’ can be traced back to 2006, when Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the Founder, KIIT & KISS and an alumnus of Utkal University, P.G. Department of Chemistry, 1986 batch along with his batchmates were having a flashback of their University days on a coffee table. Together they persuaded their other batchmates to organize an annual alumni meet, thus giving birth to the first organized group of alumni of Utkal University. Today they are famously referred to as Vanivihar 86. 21st May 2006 marked the beginning of their first get-together, convened at the great educational cadastral known as KIIT, Bhubaneswar.
