Never ignore her message
never neglect her
because like the Ganga she
washes our dirt like ignorance
but we fools do not follow her
makes her polluted and dirty.
A beautiful gift of nature
the Vanivihar Lake enlitghtens us
makes us happy and joyful
and for this lake Vani Vihar Campus
is unprecedented in the world.
Do we find another such
natural lake within Harvard, Stanford
or in London University?
We need to keep it clean
and to install sages and saints
within this Vanivihar lake.
Like an enchanting island
in the vast silent ocean
stands our beloved Vanivihar
with lushgreen plants
and tall trees whispering
passers by like us to sing
the song of peace
the music of love
the chorous of enlightenment
to encompass humanity
the whole of humanity in the
hymns that once preached
Lord Buddha and Vivekananda
Mahatma Gandhiji and Tagore.
The legacy and tradition
of Vanivihar must carry ahead
by our successors
and we are to remind this
to them time and again
lest they should be whisked
away in a wrong direction
by the satan like charmers
in this materialistic world.
